MSU Field Rules

We strive to take care of the fields so all players, and referees have a fast, safe, and playable field.  Our fields are some of the best in Baltimore County, and we must be diligent to keep them that way. Field maintenance schedules (cutting, seeding, aerating, fertilizing, etc.. will be posted here shortly).

  • Field usage for practices, scrimmages and games must be approved by the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it via email.
  • If the fields are closed because of inclement weather, or maintenance, then there must be no field usage - no exceptions.
  • Practices on fields should be rotated (Field 2 upper week 1, Field 2 lower week 2,  Field 3 upper week 3, etc..)
  • Use off field grass for warm-ups, SAQ training, small sided games,  etc...
  • Use fields for large SSGs, etc...Basically full field usage should be about 30% of your practice. 
  • All trash must be disposed of after the practice. This is the coaches responsibility.
  • Replace divots.

  • Absolutely no hanging/climbing on goals.
  • No smoking on fields.

Any consistent violation to the above rules may result in suspension of field usage.
